Life goes on.

It's almost 2017 and life just keeps moving along. So much has happened and so many changes in the past couple of years. Some good, some not so good...but lots of memories made, lessons learned, and just "life" packed into those past couple of years. Way too much to write here, but I'll just update with a few pics (whatever is on this computer since everything is pretty much on our phones these days).
Audrey just turned 10 and is in 4th grade, Brady is 7 and in 2nd grade, and Ellie is 4 and is in PreK at SouthPointe Kids!

It's Been a While!

WOW! I almost forgot about this blog! So much "social media" these days, I just can't keep up with it all... Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, blogs, and of course then there's Pinterest! Ohhhh, Pinterest. Honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with all of these sites. I will admit I am addicted to some of these but at the same time I kind of wish none of them even existed. It's crazy how it seems like our world revolves around Facebook now. It's actually kind of sad. Not sure if I will keep up with this blog anymore, but just thought I'd stop in and say HEY! Just so it's not so boring, I'll add a pic or two.

Laughs

My kids say some of the funniest things sometimes...I have an awful memory, so blogging is one way for me to remember some of their little sayings and mispronunciations!

One day Brady sneezed on Audrey and she said "He bless-you'd on me!"

Audrey says "ridiculious" instead of ridiculous.

She calls a pattern a "patterin" and a curtain a "curtanin".

When giving Audrey and Brady food, she always says "I want the lottest!"

Audrey can now say her "s" words, but just a few months ago she still had problems pronouncing some...
skunk = tunk
spot = pot
spit = pit
smile = pile
snack = tack

Brady pronounces Audrey as "Aufree" and Ellie as "Elwee".

Brady calls an ambulance an "ambliance".

A hamburger is a "hangabur" to Brady.

When he says Thank you, it's "Thanks you" and when he says I love you, it's "I love's you".

At Christmas time, Brady called it "Chrischris".

His favorite restaurant is "Las Thomas" (Las Palmas)

When Brady is trying to tell Audrey that he's the winner and she's the loser in a game, he says "I'm the win and you're the lose".

Funny story for today:
This boy cracks me up sometimes...as we were dropping Audrey off at school today he wanted me to roll his window down so he could say bye to her. So we're driving past her and he yells out the window all sweet "Bye Audrey! I love you!"...then mumbles under his breath "Knucklehead." Hmmm, wonder where he got THAT term of endearment from???

Milestone

So last night was the first night that Ellie did not sleep within arms reach of me. I know- she will be 9 months old in just a few days. Don't judge me! She has been in either a bassinet or the pack n play right by our bed since she was born. She has taken naps in her room but has never slept in there at night at all. She slept in her room for the first time and it was a very very very bittersweet milestone for me.

My last baby. I've been putting this off for months but I finally said I just had to be strong and do it! I was a little weary of how she'd do in there, but she actually did just fine. She did wake up at 2:30 and I nursed her then put her back in there. The one thing that helped me was having the video monitor right by me all night! I could see her and hear her breathing all night just like she was right next to me. :)

When I went in her room this morning this is what I saw:

Pumpkin Patch

This year we made several trips to the local pumpkin patch, Walden Farms. It's only about 10 minutes from our house so we love it! Brady also got to go for a field trip with his school. They went on a hay ride, picked pumpkins, pet the animals, and played in the corn. There was a little rain but that just made it even more fun!

STOP!

This little girl is growing TOO fast and I want it to stop!

First pic was when she was about a week old...second pic was just last week at 4 months old. She is still sleeping in our room in her bassinet but I'm afraid she's about to outgrow it :(
